Curriculum Policy and Documentation
At Abingdon Primary School our curriculum is designed to inspire enthusiasm for learning, to ensure achievement and to support pupil wellbeing and happiness. We also have 3 core values which we endeavour to show in everything we do: Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.
We provide a creative curriculum that allows children to develop interpersonal skills, build resilience and make meaningful links with their learning.
We also recognise that some subjects are stand alone and do not always link.
We endeavour to foster a love of reading in our children through high quality texts that link to their curriculum.
Our curriculum enables us to build strong relationships, celebrate diversity, encourage respect and build a sense of community.
Our core values, restorative approach, PSHE lessons, circles and assemblies not only promote wellbeing for the children and give children a safe space to speak, but also promote attitudes which reflect the values and skills needed for future learning and success.
We work on a 2 year cycle. In 2022-23 we are on cycle B
